Scream Secrets Jam Submission
Hey all, last night I submitted this game to the Scream Secrets Jam!
I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. This was another exercise in procedural 3D graphics, but this time around it really shines with all the different distortion effects I used for the game. Like the last prototype I worked on, the 3D graphics are done entirely in a screen-space fragment shader. I think the result this time is a lot more fleshed out though, especially with the non-euclidean effects!
I wanted to make a small, surreal horror experience that had more to do with feeling lost or trapped, and I think I managed to connect it all pretty well with a solid theme.
I also managed to actually get some music in too! I'm not a musician by any means, but I think I managed to throw something together that works well with the game!
There were some things in this game that did end up getting cut due to time/over-scoping, but I'm still happy with where it ended up! I might revisit those ideas in a future update. There are also still some issues to work out (like the look sensitivity not having a great range), so that'd be good to clean up after the jam!
Thanks for reading! Would love to have more people check this out :)
